Akron Community Art & Drama Summer Camp!
We will be hosting our unique Art & Drama Summer Camp at the Akron Education Campus this summer August 15th-19th for ages 6-11!
The camp features a range of art and theatre activities including drawing, painting, improvisation, acting, set design and much more! At the end of the week, there will be a gallery showing of artwork and a short play written by the students during the week. We offered the same thing last year and it was a big hit, the kids had a great time. Check out our blog entry about the camp to see some pictures!

The camp will be divided into two distinct parts: art in the morning from 9:00-11:30am, lunch/recess from 11:30-12:30pm and drama from 12:30-3:00pm. We are offering the full day Art+Drama combo from 9:00am-3:00pm for $250 or the half day (pick art or drama) for $150. This cost includes all art materials, pre-approved snacks and certified instructors. Summer Camps at Strausser Elementary for Jackson Local Schools' Students!
*All Camps June 20th - 24th at Strausser Elementary* Students will bring a packed lunch and all supplies, pre-approved snacks and specially trained Certified KidzArt Instructors are included.
All camps open to any Jackson Elementary schools’ students grades 1st - 5th
Art & Drama Summer Camp: Students will experience the joys of both art and theater activities in this action packed camp! They will learn about set design, improvisation, and performance as well as the mixed media art portion. At the end of the week there will be a short play and gallery of art work so the students can show off all that they have learned throughout the week! Full day camp: 9:30am—3:30pm, Maximum 20 registrants, $275 for all 5 days
Art Lovers Summer Camp: Students will experience a range of artistic media including drawing, painting and also 3D sculpture! The students will also take part in some of our art games and interactive activities. At the end of the week there will be a gallery showing of all the artwork created during the week. Full day camp: 9:30am—3:30pm, Maximum 20 registrants, $275 for all 5 days
Special needs half-day art Camp: These special students will experience fun and confidence boosting art projects. Appropriate for students with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism and autism spectrum disorders such as Aspbergers syndrome. Students with more severe mental or physical special needs are welcome to attend the camp along with a parent or aide. Please contact us if you would like help determining whether this camp is right for your child! Upon registration, you will receive a more detailed questionnaire. Art work from this camp will also be featured at the end of the week gallery! Half-day camp, 9:30am-12:30pm, $175 for all 5 days
